Car acting very funny

Post by Flip_x »

alright lets see how i can tell this, when i try to floor it at round 3.5k rpm it just like lags, ( i can hear the car going faster but it doesnt go) then if i keep doing that then i heard a pop..

i was thinking it could be the tb because maybe the bufferfly is getting stuck..

anyways thanks just ask any questions and i will try to tell u the best i can.

Sounds to me like transmission lag. My car does that on occasion when I floor it from full stop.

Take a look at the water temp. if the temp. is high and the car has the situation like you just said, then it sounds like the coolant temp. sensor problem.

Could also be the altenator.

Do the RPMs rise but the car doesn't accelerate? If yes, then it sounds like a clutch problem.
