I'm starting to get a little paranoid

Post by jamal »

I just drove a friend home, and when I pulled into my driveway, I noticed a little puff of steam come out from under the car.

So, I spend a few minutes looking around under the car, turning the wheel back and forth, and checking for leaks beacuse the inside of the wheel well is a little wet. I looked around, and made sure the cv boots, steering rack boots, and brake lines were all intact.

Yeah, they're fine. Okay, what is this that's dripping on my face?

Open the hood- Hey, the timing belt cover seems a little wet on the driver's side. What's up with that? I don't know. Nothing seems to be leaking. Maybe it's the strut, but they're practically brand new.

So, I'm about to give up on what could be the cause of this liquid dripping out of my fender when I realize that it's water from the puddle I just drove through in the alley. Heh.

Good morning Legacycentral. What are your plans for today?

I'm going to go to a bbq and watch USC beat the shit out of ASU. And probably get hammered.

I did sorta the same thing when I spilled a little bit of oil on the headers and there was smoke coming from the hood scoop and thought I had an oil leak. I spent like 15 minutes under the car looking for the problem.

I'm picking my girlfriend up from the train station and spend the day with her :)

I get paranoid about the car all the time...shame on me.

I'm going to wash the vette and then take it to Homecoming tonight...yes for old cars.

I had the same thing happen to me, Jamal. I thought I was spilling coolant or something....the level has remained steady and that was 4 months ago

I'm cleaning up around the house and doing a few small cosmetic mods to my Subaru :)

Security cameras?

I looked at the SVX and was disappointed. It had different tires front and rear (with different tread depths) and the alignment was horrible, not to mention the sunroof didn't work great, and a few other things. But I do like them, and I might end up getting one soon.

I drove agressively on definately unpopulated roads where other motorists are visable and pedestrian traffic is non exsistant. It was fun. No weird sounds, just some uneven front tire wear I need to check out, I'm pretty sure I need new struts.

edit fack i'm a moron kill me (part out my car, it sucks)

Well that doesn't sound very fun. Sorry for not coming to hang out with you this weekend. I ended up going down to Irvine and staying at a friend's house. How much longer will you be here and when will you be in town next? Next weekend my parents will be here and there's a home game, but the weekend after I think is pretty open, although I've been meaning to get down to San Diego for quite some time now.

Went for a drive friday night up Angels crest. I'm pretty sure it goes all the way to Fontana and turns into Sierra. I need to aim my headlights and driving lights properly and design some new mounts for the Hellas. The vibrations used to just be noticable. Now that I have stiffer suspension it's pretty annoying.

Scared the bejeezus out of me, I was about 2 mi from DIA. turned out to be a splashgaurd letting go and dragging on the pavement. WHEW!
Im going to study and work on my motorcycle today.
