Some light please?

Post by dzx »

Can Vikash or anybody else spread some useful light onto this:
He modified a stock ECu for me by replacing the clock chip in the ecu with a faster one (roughly 25% faster). This increased the redline by about 25%. This trick only works on ecus 1998 and older. I am not exactly sure what the clock component of the ecu looks like, or what the part number of the new replacement part was, but i know that is how we raised the rev limit on the stock ecu.

I'm guessing he also did some kind of fuel modification like I said?

The stock ecu would have a map for above 6500 right?

No... this overclocking would in effect "stretch" the stock map.
