Hello all...
I took the advice of someone on the board, and bought a 02 wrx hoodscoop to put on my car. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit like the person said it would. I did some cutting to my hood so I could use the attachments from the wrx scoop. Once I got it attached, I found that the scoop didn't even completely cover the indentation for the stock scoop, there were at the front corners large portions of the indented area showing that the wrx scoop didn't cover. Way way too ugly to allow. It also interferes with the windsheild washer jets, although I was warned of that and prepared to move them. So this upsets me. It seems the only way the scoop would fit, is if its move forward (towards the front of the car) significantly, so it covers the indentation for the stock scoop. This of course means that I have to drill holes further down the hood for the scoop to attach to. I should also cut out the hole to make it bigger so my IC gets more cold air...My IC is hot to the touch, I really need to figure something out stat. What is the best way to figure out where to drill the holes? I really worry about drilling the holes in the wrong place, the scoop being on crooked, etc etc...
Any suggestions?
thanks
Micum
