Auto to Manual issue (cruise control, relay?)

Post by biggreen96 »

So I got the car from Dave with the cruise inoperable and now I'd like to fix that. So i'm reading this http://www.legacycentral.org/library/tr ... ronics.htm and trying to figure out what to do. Thing is I'm an electrical retard and have no idea how to go about this.

"go to radio shack and get a relay nd connect it to the neutral swtich" where should I put it? I have never wired a relay or anything more complicated than a fog light or stero install.

The neutral switch really isn't what controls the cruise. The cruise needs to be hooked up to the appropriate switch on the clutch pedal. You may be able to use the AT computer, I'm not sure. I ended up swapping to the MT cruise computer and relay.

Read the electrical part of my write-up. It has all the info and diagrams you need to wire up the neutral switch and cruise
