Ive been having some annoying electrical problems.
1.side marker/corner/fog lights whatever you want to call them, and taillights dont turn off. Ive been having to disconnect the battery. I'm pretty stumped by this one. some sort of switch going bad? where should I even start looking?
2.blower motor doesnt work on any speed. HVAC unit seems to work fine.
its not the relay, tried 2 good ones and its not the blower, checked it with a jumper wire. any ideas? I'm really not looking forward to chasing through the dash with a multimeter.
the blower motor hasnt worked for a few months now. the light problem just started.

You don't have the switch on the steering wheel turned on do you? If you don't, that might be the switch that is acting up, because everything else shuts off with the ignition, and if the headlights shut off, I'd assume that circuit is working correctly.

Well, I found a fix for the blower motor problem, at least in my case. I was looking through the chassis wiring diagrams for the 90-96 Legacies in the Chiltons, and thought to myself 'Why can't I just get power from a switched source, like the radio, and connect it directly to the blower motor itself?'
The red/black wire on the plug for the blower motor is the power wire, so I ran a wire from one of the yellow/red stripe wires from the radio (I had an extra because I've got the radio from a '97 Impreza) to the red/black of the blower motor, and now it works whenever the key is in the first setting. I know I probably shouldn't do it that way, but it works for now, and I was getting desperate since I've had the car since January and the damn blower motor never worked.
