s-afc problems

Post by irishsetter »

I Just installed a apexi s-afc and can not get the car to run on it. I am 90% sure it is wired right but only 20% sure how to setup the damn thing. I printed the instruction manual off line for it but after my efforts it still wont work. What things do I have to setup in the program just to get it to run enough to get it to ny friends tuner shop?

I dont think too many people on here know much about the s-afc. this may be why there are not so many replies. I wish I could help but cant.

Ok I have my throttle line wired in to my TPS is this right? I am showing 100% throtle on the afc at idle and it goes down when I give it gas. This seems backwards. I am still hitting fuel cut or just some type of hesitation. What does everyone have there DEC. AIR set to?

You've got the throttle line setup, but since our TPS signal is a falling signal, it's going to be backwards. I ran into the same issue with perfect power.

I just have to setup my maps backwards. It's not really a big deal in the pp. But I'm not sure how the S-AFC is.

Dec Air setting is for hot wire mafs to keep them from stalling when the bov vents. I left it turned off. There are some threads on nasioc for setting the Dec Air.

Throttle type should have the arrow pointing down and to the right.
