Funny story about me new legacy.....

Post by subawhatsubawho »

Back when I moved from CO to FL I had my 90 AWD 4EAT BJ in that silver color. In my travels I parked next to a car that looked just like mine...well it was the same color and body. At this time in my life I wanted to buy more Subarus so I left a note on his car that said, "If you ever want to sell your car or need parts or repair, please call me @......." Over a year goes by and nothing. I get a call today from the guy and he asks me what it's worth to me. I ask him all the usual question. He informs me it has 140K miles on it but needs some window motors...WOOP DEE DOO!! I tell him I can give him $500.00 cash for it on the spot. He tells me he has to think about it. I'm thinking he's blowing me off and I go about my day. I just got off the phone with him and I am picking it up this upcoming friday.

SCORE!!!!!

(I didn't buy the other legacys I mentioned in the Misc section and I still have to go pick up my 87 Celica convertable I bought for $200.00 from a guy on ebay.)

On the same type note I found a lady that has a gold bc/bf around the corner from me. Maybe she would like to part with hers as well. Then I would have to find me a turbo to make my collection complete. Would it be wrong to put an RS front end on my BJ?

Jeez, think you'll have enough cars?

You remind me of this guy from the SVX.net forums...he has 12 of them!

You can never have too many Subarus. That is...untill code enforcement tells you otherwise.

I hope not, otherwise I'm in trouble ;)

Or as I say, they're just like potato chips... you can't have just one! :D

Mike...Patti is looking very cherry these days...did you have her painted since I last saw her?

What are the chances of getting a picture of your BJ with the ss front end? What, if anything did you have to modify to get it on?

That's a very, VERY old pic in my sig, my friend.

Here's what she used to look like:

Here's what she looks like now:

Here's the wagon with the turbo bumper (I have a turbo grill (thanks Blackbart!) that I'm gonna get painted and put that on here soon). Absolutely no modifications were necessary, although I want to put covers in the fog light holes and I'm gonna hafta fab up some brackets for them to mount to...

I was going thru the glove box of the new legacy today and found the original sales invoice from 1989 and every service record since...even oil changes.

The previoud owner paid close to 16K for it in 1989.

All the manuals are there too.

I also found the oem tool kit, jack, spare, and spare OEM windsheild wipers to boot.
