Dreaming in digital

Post by tris91ricer »

From what I've gathered, not all of us dream in vivid color?

I ask because, while I've been having rather wild and regressive visions, its got me thinking about dreams.

Anyone else actually believe they're right where their mind puts them, in their dreams?

I love those dreams where you're falling and when you hit, you wake up. I've also had dreams that there was a bee or large spider in my bed and freaked out and tore my bed apart not realizing it was a dream. Fun stuff. Dreams are interesting. Personally i'd prefer more dreams of the adult type.....

Dreams are just what we experience when our brains are filing our short-term memory, IMHO

As it cross-references stuff, it pulls up old memories that get integrated into the dream.

This would explain why a lack of sleep makes us very forgetful, amongst other things.

I had a dream the other night about cheese stuffed spicy meatballs....and Alicia Keys. There were vanilla salty balls too but those were for her.

Glad I could be of assistance. Caution: The liquids in this cup may be hot. Could cause severe burns.

One of my best dreams was about skiing deep powder snow.

The best slopes were getting carved up and as I approached the bottom of a gulley I discovered that if I leaned back at just the right angle I could
crank arcs going up a slope unreachable by a lift---unbelievable :-D

All that unbroken snow :!:

I never dream in anything but vivid color and always have full control over myself in the dreams.
Best dream yet was when I was skating with my friends and we bumped into Andrew Reynolds on the street and we all got sponsored on Baker. sigh it was only a dream.

There's this anti-malaria medicine called Larium that causes really bizarre, horribly vivid dreams. You take it for a week before heading into a third world country and boy-o is it nuts. I vaguely remember one of the dreams I had, I was wandering around in this dr. seuss type land except with like neon colors in it and talking to the creatures(that looked somewhat like mario creatures except more colorful). It was a very happy dream, but really really bizarre.

I'm kind of excited about going back down. :)

I dream in color and they have soundtracks.

I have lots of premonition dreams, more so lately, and almost always involving inane things at work.

I wrote a few interesting dreams I've had into my novels. Not sure how many I'll edit out.

The first dream I remember was when I was 2 and a tiger was chasing me around the living room table. It finally caught me. I remember floating over my body while it crushed my skull and ate my brains thinking, "The tiger's eating my brain and now I'm dead."

Dude, that's fn awesome! :)
My first dying dream was about me running on the streets of Tacoma, and I was being chased by this burly-ass biker dude. I tried to play dead on a hill, but he killed me anyway. His bandanna smelled so disgusting.

The other dreams I hate are the ones where I dream I'm getting out of bed, and going to the bathroom, only to awake soaking wet.

I could go on and on about dreams. I had some wild ones years ago after being in some...altered states and even before that I used to have crazy ones.

My first dying dream was kind of wierd. I was nine or ten years old and my father was ill. I used to have this dream that we'd all cross this black river into this black fun house type deal. Each one of my family members would be stalked and killed until I was alone and then this shadowy black thing would chase me until it caught me. I woke up as I was being torn apart.

Share some more, I've got some fucked up ones yo.

The best dreams I had were when I was on prednisone. I was seeing shit in and out of my dreams. There was a shark in my toilet and a snake in my tube....and all the colors were flip flopped!

After I put the 20B in my RX-7 I started having dreams of racing all kinds of other vehicles...I was always at the same light right by my house but the other vehicle was something weird. I raced almost every vehicle ever made...Ice cream trucks...dump trucks...the fedex guy...street sweepers...mustangs..camaros, vettes...I even raced one of those amphib-a-cars.....best part of the dream....I always won.

Those were the most vivid dreams in my life.

I had a fever dream once. I had a 105 temp and I was under a mountain of blankets trying to break the fever. The dumb Carol Burnett show was on and Tim Conway's head ate my living room.

Most of the dreams I have involve whatever the biggest thing in my life is at that moment

Cars, work, school, a girl, whatever my main focus is.

I never have sex dreams. Mine are just fucking weird. Last night I had one where my father (who I hardly talk to and who hates animals) was taking care of some newly-discovered endangered species. For some reason I took one with me. It was like a translucent white 2-hump camel about 6 inches long that had no head, just a long neck that terminated like a worm. It apparently lived underground or something so it didn't need eyes. No idea how it ate. Anyway, I forgot it in the car and was worried it died in the cold, but was too lazy to go back outside to bring it in. I figured I'd just tell everyone I fogot about it and didn't remember until morning.

It lived and it was fine, but the f'n point my brain was trying to make? I haven't been irresponsible at all lately, nor have I taken care of any animals of any kind. Stupid brain!
