Snow makes parking so easy!

Post by BAC5.2 »

At my school, there aren't many good drivers, and even fewer SUV's.

So when it snows, there is prime parking for those of driving competence and ample clearance.

Well, luckily I've got both.

I drove to class, a little late, thinking there wouldn't be any parking.

The plows had come this weekend, and I thought I had only lucked out yesterday.

Well, I didn't! Today, I got a spot even closer!

3/4 of the parking spot was covered in 2 feet of hard packed snow. So I backed up, creeped forward, lined up, and up I went. Parking on top of the snow bank and the ground next to an 05 WRX (who always takes up 2 spots as to not get door dings).

If I had a little more ground clearance and a slightly better approach angle, I could have gotten an even closer spot that was open!

I was pretty happy that I could park closely. Plus, I don't have to worry about someone parking to closely.

I have a pic, but it is all full of glare. You'll see here:

Good job on the parking Phil.

You should get a sticker that says "I'm not a lesbian, but I do like girls."

A lesbian trapped in a man's body.

I used to love parking my old GL on snow banks. The more extreme angle the better. Once I had to crawl up through the passenger window. The Legacy doesn't have the ground clearance.

My door comes within 1/4" of hitting the ground when I park in front of my house. :D

Good stuff man. I used to do that all the time in my Jeep. One time they called me out of class in high school because I parked on the dirt mound they used to sand the parking lot. haha

Good job parking, man. I do that with my poor Civic but it takes a little more run-on and I have to back in so I've still got drive wheels on the pavement :-D

When I was going to school I use to park in those same kinda spots in my VW... short, smooth bottom pan and RWD... I'd just slid the front end up the snow pile, sometimes even with teh front wheels off the ground.
