How old is everyone?

Very true Steve, but how many of your friends are married to females who will let them have an obsession with working on cars without any grudge? I say 'let' because we all know who really runs a marriage these days
. Seriously though, I know a lot of people my age who might as well throw in the towel on having interests outside of the marriage that don't subject them to some level of resistance. Many of my friend's wives\girlfriends generally either want to be a part of their lover's other pursuits or they will create pursuits for them that do involve them and it works that way for females sometimes too. If they don't like it then forget about it. Obviously, some of that is a given if you're sharing your life with someone but compromise is essential.

That's why I haven't bothered much with women since my ex. I don't really have any friends that like cars outside of LCO. We might talk about them a little bit, but mostly I'm just the crazy writer friend that doesn't care about getting laid and has an engine in his kitchen to prove it. Hell, my ex was more into cars than most of my friends since college. She had dance, which I can respect (and see the benefits of) and she appreciated the history of cars and my love for driving fast, plus she got her car fixed. I don't mind not having many car friends, though, since it keeps my mind from being one-tracked like the pathetic transportation design majors at school that even annoyed ME with their car obsession.

My sister was in the same position, though they didn't get married for four years while my sister planned the wedding to every last detail. (apparently getting a 50k+ wedding for $25k if anyone cares about that junk. I had to hear about it for four damn years. Did turn out nice, though. Still too much damn money when she could've gotten everyone subs, not invited the family members that suck, and had me officiate as I'm a minister in the ULC for under $1k including a nice dress. But women don't listen to reason). My nephew will be 5 this July.
