Control Panel

Post by Splinter »

Im going to rig up a small control panel, with rows of switches, to mount either below my in-dash LCD or in the map-light/sunroof control box

Amongst the switches will be foglight and driving light toggles, diagnostic mode switches (I hate screwing around with those green/black connectors), control of power to an inverter Im going to mount in the trunk, and a couple other things.

Should be pretty useful, especially the ones for putting it in diagnostic modes.

Anyone know what connectors the diagnostic leads use? Are they something standard, or are they subaru exclusive

You mean the test mode and read memory connectors? The housings are manufactured by AMP (and actually aren't the same on all models), but you can just use 1/4" quick-disconnects.
