how muchpower out of my stock pistons.....
how much power can i pull out of my stock pistons in my ej22t 93...i have head like 300hp but im not sure, any ideas? if i should but new ones i will, and if so got and suggestions, under $500. either way i am curious about the power out of the stock pistons....
I think its safe to go up to 20psi on the stock pistons. Intercooling after 8psi and fuel upgrades after 15psi a must. I think the number is close to 400hp or so. its not likely you'll ever reach that unless you plan on spending close to 10k on your motor.

I have heard 250-300HP on the stock, cast aluminum pistons from a few places. It could be more, if proper engine management was used, but that's probably the realm of power at which they'd be detonation-resistant, and not detonation-detroyed.
