AUX input on OEM deck

Post by Hustler M »

I DID A SEARCH AND DIDN"T FIND THE INFO I NEEDED

Now thats out of the way, for some reason I cannot get the aux input on my oem Panasonic deck to work. I plugged in my MP3 player and nothing. I tried looking for a button or something to switch over to the AUX input and nothing. Any advice would be great

check the panasonic for a "source" button or whatever button you press to go from fm to cd to am or whatever. they are all different so thats as much as we can help really. look in the manual for the panasonic, if no manual google the radios model number followed by .pdf, that should bring you up some manuals.

All you gotta do is plug something into the jack. The Radio automatically swaps over the AUX input. Perhaps you've fried your input.

Maybe you have a different radio than I do?

^^^Thats the same as the radio I have, so I guess my input is toast. I was hoping to keep the stock deck ,or anti theft reasons, and just plug my MP3 player in. Oh well good excuse to get a new deck

I came up with a way to get AUX IN on Legacies that didn't come with the jack; it'd probably also work for you:

When I was a broke high-school student, working part-time for little more than minimum wage, I had rigged my portable CD player into my AUX port on my factory stereo... After a while, the AUX port began to lose its connection a bit and I would have to jiggle the wire in order to get it to work again.
