Aussie EJ22 Supercharger

Post by DLC »

Saw this on a thread at NASIOC:

http://web.archive.org/web/200106240206 ... y_kits.htm

It's an old version of their site, but interesting. The new site, http://www.capa.com.au/kits.htm , doesn't list any Subaru kits. Anyone wanna email them and ask why?

I really dig that manifold. a while back I was thinking of how you could do a plenum mounted blower but never thought of that. cool stuff.

You mean like Troy's?: http://legacycentral.org/centric/members/troy.htm

I asked him about this back when I wanted to supercharge my car, those were the guys that did it I believe. He said he went through like three sets of headgaskets, and a few engines or something. He didn't like the unreliability and was going for a turbo swap last I heard.

well, if he's putting down 245hp like it says, non intercooled, that thing has got to be a piston killer, anything less than some high quality forged slugs and a good MLS gasket sure isn't going to hold up to that abuse.
