hopefully getting an EJ20G to replace my tired EJ22T which is currently in my impreza. read around a bunch, please correct me if im wrong.
i need a JECS MAF, this isnt the same as my EJ18 MAF is it?
BoostAddict said part number 22680AA200 but i havent gotten that confirmed... that looks up to be a MAF for an SVX
i need either an SVX ignitor, or two x two-channel ignitors.
wiring these up would be as simple as running 4 wires from the cylinder x ECU pin---> ignitor---> coil on plug cylinder x
i dont understand how ignitors work, does it matter which cylinders i wire to each? could i run cylinders 1 and 2 to an ignitor and 3 and 4 to the second or does firing order come into play?
for reference, i modified the 1.8 engine harness to plug into the EJ22T, and will modify it furthur to plug into the EJ20G.
thanks for the help!

Any early JECS maf should work
An ignitor is basically a solid state relay.
It uses a signal from the ecu to groung the appropriate coil. Your coils have constant 12v. So when the ecu decides to fire a spark plug it sends a signal to the ignitor, the ignitor in turn grounds the the coil thus making current "flow" through the coil.
So yes you need to match up the right signal wire from the ecu to the right coil.
Alternativly you could wire it the same as you have it now. That is use your current set up
and just wire the coils in pairs, and let your ignitor ground two coils at a time. You would then have Wasted Spark and Coil on Plug.
Im not sure anyone has done this before but Im sure it would work.
