Fuel rail problem ---right now

Post by Subtle »

For the up grade to STI pinks, I got the 93-94 N/A rails, but these are not top-feed.

Is there a difference between US and Cdn cars, or has the wrecker sent the wrong rails.

Can any one in the North West supply the right ones?

None of the older (90-94) rails are top feed. All side feed.

You want STi Yellows, not STi pinks.

Thanks guys--my search indicated that the N/A would take any of the newer range of injectors.

Obviously I need specific advice.

Will the yellows fit the N/A side rails that I now have?

They should.

The problem is the STi pinks must be for a regular WRX, which is top feed. The stock STI injectors are side feed and should fit perfectly into the rails you received.

STi Pinks are for EJ207's, not for WRX's(EJ205). You can use them in an EJ205 engine if you tune.

they'll fit any of the newer side feed injectors. The two types are totally different and are easily visibly identified. The fact that a side feed rail only fits a side feed injector should be intuitive.

as long as those rails are not from a 90-91 NA EJ22 then yes, 90-91 rails are the same as turbo rails, all other ones will work. If the rails had red injectors in them, they will fit.

550cc pink, 440cc yellow, though the flow of the yellows is a long debated issue. Some say 440 and others say 480cc. 440cc is what the ones that I have seen flow test numbers on read...

You sure about that Matt? You're talking about the yellow side-feeds that come on the USDM STi?
