Sounds like a toasty motor to me.

Ratcheting noises are usually gears skipping...

What about for really slow windows?

Mine are crazy slow, and it's starting to annoy me.

Crazy slow means the motor's probably worn out. My passenger side takes longer to roll up than any other window, so I don't use it very much just in case it dies and my window is stuck down

Ratcheting noises probably means the regulator is coming apart. It would surprise me, because our regulators are gear-driven, so it's hard for them to fail. But I dunno what else it could be.
