Painted my intake today with Krylon Industrial Rust Tough Semi-flat. Looks sharp in person. Then I got my fuel lines pretty much set up. I left them a little long just in case I need to trim them. The turbo rail is only there for fitment, as the other N/A rail is currently in my car. I'm also gonna ditch that FPR with the bent nipple.
I'll admit, that's the "rough" side of my car. The other fender looks a little bit better.
It doesn't matter, since she's going under the knife in less than two weeks. I've got a silver driver's door and a turbo hood. I didn't want a hood scoop but my parts car said otherwise. I guess its a good spot for an oil cooler.
Mainfold looks cool, I like the black better than the red too. I wonder how that Hammerite grey or black would look, I really like that paint and try to find good places to use it all the time. I sand blasted my EJ20G manifold, it looks good but now you got me thinking.
I'm not sure the twin FPR are a good idea tho, if they are not perfectly balanced you could end up with a lean side and a rich side and i dont think the O2 sensor would pick it up because its after the two flows mix. I'd at least check them with a good quality gage (the same one). Just a thought...

No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.
Word on the twin FPR's. I definately plan on checking them to see how close they are. I have a couple spares to try and get them as close as possible. I'll also run them off the same vacuum source. I may also run just one FPR, but we'll see. I just don't like the factory series setup, especially with the size of injectors I have (650cc).
I'll also be using a wideband with an EGT sensor to keep tabs on whats going on.
Since the rails are in series, cyl #3(at the end of the series) tends to lean out when you run large injectors. I could run one FPR, but it would be a bigger pain. I'll run both off the same vaccum source, so pressure shouldn't be an issue, but I'll still check each rail for pressure.
I'm not gonna leave the lines to just flop around. I'll make shure they are secure. Those pics are just of a rough in. I'll most likely have to do some trimming of the lines.
Since my turbo is actually a GT3071R, I might max out my injectors, depending on how the old heads flow. We'll see how the duty cycles go once its broke in.
