Stuck Valve??

I have just put a suby 2l turbo engine in my jetboat. as all running but is missing on 1 cylinder. when i pull the plug off one of the injectors the engine doesnt falter. so i changed the injector and still the same. the plug is very dry unlike the rest.
The engine was taken out of a car and was running perfectly before hand, although had been sitting for about six months. does this sound like a stuck valve. what am i best to do. change the head?? can I reuse the head gasket??

If it is the valve, you should be able to change the head pretty easily, or at least get at it to have it worked on. You need to replace the headgasket with a new one.

Which cylinder is the one that you're having issues with?

If you are looking at the bell housing it is the far cylinder on the right side. I guess if the engine was sitting in the car it would be the front right cylinder.
I have had the inlet manifold off and the valve looks to be opening and closing??

Do a compression check.

Also, Dual or single cam heads (assuming dual), could be a bent valve, did you have the timing belt off?

Yeah it is quad cam. Havent had timing belt off. And cant do compression test at the mo as havent got my flywheel here.
If I take the plugs out the one where the cylinder is missing is dry as as though its getting no gas. Have changed injector and still the same, and put a screw driver against it and against my ear and can hear it clicking??

compression check

check crankcase pressure when the engine is running (should be fairly steady depending on rpm)

If you're using coil on plug, faulty coil?

wasted spark setups would exhibit same problem on the opposing cylinder if there was a faulty coilpack. Only thing other than that is a faulty plug wire.

Cheers for that reply. It has the coil packs that go in on top of the plug. Wouldnt the spark plug be wet tho if it was not sparking. Its really dry (whiteish colour) and also If i take the coil and plug out i can see it sparking??
any other ideas, i guess ive gotta do a compression test which ill do when i get my flywheel back
