Making Metal

Post by Subtle »

My friend with a modded WRX is a helicopter mechanic.

Over lunch the other day, he used the term "making metal" and wishing to have my intuition confirmed I asked about it.

There are magnets in the engine and tranny with a visual scanner that sends to the instrument panel and if a lot starts to show up its time to find a place to set down.

However, if the bits are big enough such that you can read the parts number you get down --"right now :!: ". ---
