MAF signal wire question

Post by neonglh »

The previous owner had a problem when he removed the e-manage from the system, to where the car was not getting a maf signal. To fix this, he ran a wire from the maf signal lead on the weatherpack all the way to the ECU, through the firewall. This works fine.

My question is does any other device before the ECU use that signal before the ECU gets it? I doubt it, but I want to make sure that him bypassing the wiring harness isnt messing with any other sensors.

Thank you.

No I don't believe anything else uses that signal.
