Underdrive puley(s)- Opinions?
I am trying to do small things to my engine at first before i get into the heavy duty stuff. Upgraded my fuel pump, de-snorked my air box and added a k&n filter, upgraded the plug wires to 9mm, etc. I have seen under drive pulley kits for all cars i have ever tuned, but have never used them before. So i am curious as to what your opinions are of them and their pro's and cons to helping tune a vehicle, or if they are just somehting shiny to put on the engine.
I'd suggest a lightweight pulley but not underdriven. The gains mainly come from the reduced mass on the crank.

I swapped an Unorthodox underdrive for a Cobb lightweight and noticed better headlight brightness and idle at nights, especially in the winter with the heater on.

It kind of depends on what you consider "bolt on". I consider everything that doesn't mean breaking the block down.
You can srart with a K&N air filter, better flowing exhaust, add a lightened pulley, and sorry didn't notice if you had a 5sp or not - if so..add a lightened flywheel. It shoudl get you a bit more power. Especially after adding an IC and boost controller.
