Working out S-AFCII Wireing...

Post by Cynt »

The install asks for "Air flow / Pressure" signal, am I looking at b48.4 MAP sensor signal?

Thanks.

I belive you want b48.9 - the maf sensor signal.

I have my own safc II to put in, in the next week or so.

I took a look at the manual and it appears that our ecu aligns to the f2-b pinout on page 56 of the installation manual. That pinout matches ours perfectly and shows the airflow sensor as being the maf sensor.

Take pictures of the install and let me know where you put the unit. Im still debating where to put mine.

Right, but the 91 T-Leg is MAP not MAF... Right?

I'm still learning this car.

I believe we have a map sensor also? BUT, the ecu adjusts mostly by the maf? I am not sure here... I do know certain ecus like "link" use only the map sensor and delete the maf entirely.

Wrong...

The Turbo Legacies do have a MAP sensor, but it is basically used to control boost and fuel cut, and doesn't really give the ECU much of a usable load reading...

I used the MAP sensor for my analog deflection input on my Perfect Power, and it works great for that.
