Hi everyone, My name is Ben and I lives in Toronto Canada.
I have a 92 Legacy turbo with WRX Ver.II intercooler, AGX with stock
springs set up at F/3,R/6, a set of 205-55-15 Dunlop Sport W-10 tires
on the stock rims!
Right now, my car is going to 200,000km and needs to change the
timing belt and water pump, the dealer person tell me that since my
engine will do those belt change he ask me to change all the other
belts and the cam and oil seals. and all the parts and labor will be
total $700 cad. Will it really worth it for change those parts??
I also run rally and daily drive this car. The car feels so good and
better then my father's 99 2.5GT. I never giveup my turbo and will
put the Apex-i AVC-R this month but needs to know how to do the set-
up, does any of you guys know how to set-up this electronic boost
controller??
BTW, Does EBC green stuff mades a brake pads for our turbo?
Since I have to change the pads and rotor (bermbo X-drill)and I would
like to try the most famous Green stuff for daily driving and rally
race too! Before that I use the KVR Carbon pads its ok but when it
cold it seems no brake power but when it hot the padle seems much
sensitive.
I will post my cars photo when I go to my friends home to scan it!
enjoy your Legacy Turbo, also say hi to Shik and Dave, miss you guys
in the i-club!
\(^o^)/...Love my turbo!yes!

Ben, I agree with Shariff, get the seals done.
BTW, I still post on the i-club, but it's nice to have a first generation
Legacy forum as well. How's the intercooler working out for you? Everything
good?

Last time I checked EBC does make the Green Stuff for our car. Has the
seals ever been changed? If not I would recommend doing this but ask the
dealer to insert a thicker (just a little) washer for the bolts on the cam
seal. The seals are rather week and with a thicker washer, you can tighten
the case a little more.
What would you like to know regarding the Boost Controller? Setting up was
easy but it took time for the controller to take over and go into the self
learn mode. After that, I haven't really touched anything.

I'm still at the i-club all the time but only with relevant posts
I'd get all of that done if you can reasonably afford it. It's
better to pony up the dough on this occasion than have to pay them to
get in later for one small thing.
I'm dying to get an intercooler but i've got other issues, like my
temp sensor and TPS, that are causing me grief. I've also got a 2.5"
downpipe on the way that should help things a bit.
An interesting thread in the i-club relating to turbo upgrades has
caught my attention. With that many miles you might consider as much.

Hi Shariff, Do you have the parts number or which website that I can
get the parts number for the Green stuff?
Also have you have the AVC-R? Hows those vaccum line connect? How can
I do the set-up at each gear and let them stand-still around 11-12psi?
I got the AVC-R almost an year and can't boost up my courage to
install them by myself, I'm so worry to blow the engine if I done
something incorrect!!
Shik, the intercooler runs good, but the problem is I am using the
Ver.III hose from the turbo to I/C. it bends little bit but its a
silicon hose that take out from STi. Do you know where can I get the
correct Ver.II hose??
Dave, your website helps me a lot and your pic. help me to do the
modify step by step! Keep up the good work and tell use how to mod
our car!
(^0^)...enjoy your legacy!

Be at ease Ben, nothing short of a stick of dynamite will actually
hurt that engine. It's one of the two strongest engines Subaru has
ever made.
Thanks for the compliments and please take some pictures and send
them in when you can.
