Is the mileage too high??what to do??
Theres been this 92 Turbo for sale at a dealer for a while now, still
not sold and it drives me crazy cause i want it sooo bad!. Its got
188,000km or(118,000miles), 5 spd, the thing that bothers me sooo
much
is the high mileage, i've never had a car with 160,000km+, at this
mileage would a car like this be getting
tired or do u think it will go another 60,000km+ if propaly
maintained.Its also got a 1 year warranty(powertrain). If i do buy it
do u think it would be worthy of exhaust and intake mods, or is it
just too old??????
Thanks in advance:)

My parents have 240,000 on theirs, and it's still a hard-pulling

Is the mileage too high??what to do??
Jeeze Ryan, I remember when my car only had 118,000 miles
Seriously, I can only say from what experience I had with mine but do not be
scared of the miles, not on that car anyway. One thing to do if it really
worries you alot is have a leak-down test done to the motor. This measures
how much compression actually leaks by the pistons. Obviously the more worn
the rings and cylinder walls are, the worse it will be. A new car is usually
around 2 percent or so. My EJ22T with 123,000 miles was 4 percent in 3
cylinders and around 5-6 percent in the other one. Needless to say I was
happy. Especially since anything under 10 percent is considered accetable
for a Sube.
I plan on doing quite a few mods to my car. If something should happen to
the motor, either get it rebuilt or get a short block, it's cheaper then a
new car payment :^) Same goes for the tranny. Just keep in mind, you are not
paying for a brand new car and it is just natural for things to wear out.
But I seriously doubt you have to worry about it nickel and dime'ing you.
If the price was right, I'd jump on that car in a second, especially with a
year warranty!!! Good luck.

The owner has a BF that has +310K on it (!!!!!) and it is _of course_ in top condition. </plug>

Damn!! I guess i should go pick up this car!!The only way i can get
it
now is if i trade in my 90 Accord EXR 127,000km, i got no more cash.
I keep saying i'm going to look at, but never do, my mom thinks its
too far to drive(2hrs), i think its nothing. If i do look at it,
should i do a compression test on it or not?
Oh ya and Sambo, thank you for that post, i think you really opened
up
my eyes and made me realize that i should get that car!!!

Sorry Shariff, few more Q's!!
Have you install the pressure sensor?
Because I didn't see your pressure sensor connection in both
photos,Thats why I ask!
In the first pic. whats the hose you use the clam to the Tee?
In the Factor solenoid I saw you have another hose connected on the
side of the bottom, that should be the hose from turbo unit, will it
still use or just like Shik, leave it alone and covered by a rubber
cover? I know the bottom hose is for the manifold, and never remove it
but whats for thoes other 2 nipples at the top?
How long did you install the unit?
Also where are you mount the pressure sensor?
And where are you mount your AVC-R main unit in the interiar?
I do have a WRX intercooler and I saw you have a tower bar on your
car, do you know the bar will fits the car with intercooler?
Sorry to give you more question but I think your answer will help me
or other people who likes to DIY alot!!

Is the mileage too high??what to do??
They're asking $5900CND($4000USD), but he's had the car for awhile
now, he tried to sell it at an auction, but couldn't sell it, so i
figure he's getting a bit desprite now. So i could probably get it
down to a least $5200CND.I'm guessing the dealer is closed today,
tried calling, no answer, DAMMIT!!!

I just paid $7500 US for my 93 Touring Wagon with 85k miles.
Since they're probably even more uncommon than the 5spd
turbos, i had to go for it.
It sounds like a great deal, good luck getting it.
