ok i did some figureing and calling around so bear with me.. and figure you
own math..
I measured my 91 LS WGN's hood, Front fenders, Front & Rear Bumpers.
The Hood measured out to about: 8'.3" sq Ft.
the mold would cost $255.00 and the part would cost $64.00 (rounded up)
The Fender measured out to about 6'.3" sq Ft
the mold would cost $189.00 and the part would cost $47.50 (rounded up)
The Front Bumper measured out to about 8'.1" sq Ft
The mold would cost $243.00 and the part would cost $60.75 (rounded up)
The Rear Bumper measured out to about 9'.1" sq Ft
The mold would cost $273.00 and the part would cost $68.25 (rounded up)
The Part price is under the assumption that the mold already exsists.. Which
it dosen't..
Group Prices.
First i called around for a turbo Hood it came to $320.00 and then i priced
an RS bumper which came to $249.00, the Scoupe came to about $90, and they
couldn't find the price for the vents these prices were obtained from Macco,
an autobody shop for those not in the US.
The following group price is for the Turbo Hood with holes cut and under the
assumption that a Turbo hood will be needed to be purchaced to make the mold.
these prices were also made with the value that a min of 5 people were going
in on it. the price will be higher is less come in on the deal and less if
more than 5 people come in on the deal. these prices are not includeing any
modifications (hood scoup/flares/etc..)

Dave,
You might want to make a post on the i-club forum as well. Club buys there have been known to draw over a dozen people easy but this is a special situation b/c we are only talking BC-BF parts here.
Just a thought.

Do you need a hood to do this? Is that what you need? I would ship you mine but it has a frigging crease in it - no good for something like this. However, if we get desperate I could order one and send it to you, then return it for refund.

This is what i was going to do.. Buy a turbo hood for $320 ,have the mold
made, make the individual parts. and then return the hood and use the money
to ship the fiberglass hoods and split the remaining up between the partys
involved. thats why there are two diferent prices under the hood catagory.
Anyways i'm actually in the process of talking to someone about a Turbo-hood.
But any Donations of a loaner hood or other body part are welcome..

I would be very interested in a rs style bumper for my 92 turbo
sedan, but only if I would beable to mount a pair of either the cibie
or PIAA driving lights in the factory locations(factory being for the
impreza). Living in northern Minnesota/Wisconsin requires me to drive
on very dark, very deer infested roads and I want some added light.
The rs bumper would only help, giving the lights a more finished look
and a meaner apperance.
