Blown coolant line... what damage could have occured?

The line that blew is the the line that leads from the coolant resivoir to the turbo. It runs below my intercooler, and has a 1.5" long gash in it.

I had to drive the car from where I was to a auto parts store, then home. Total miles travelled about 10. The engine temp gauge never got into the red, but it did climb far above normal, and of course the entire time I was driving i can imagine my turbo wasnt recieving any coolant at all.

What other than the Turbo might have been damaged? I made sure to pull off the road when the temp gauge got close to red, but again, it never went into the red.

I got a replacement line, i will be out in the garage replacing it.

I believe that is the coolant return line from the turbo.

I busted mine a while ago (the line dry-rotted in place), and it got pretty hot. Limped home, replaced it, and haven't had any issues since.

I replaced it, and then took a 240 mile round trip from Sacramento to Reno and back. Car didnt skip a beat, other than a wierd non-idle issue that has seemed to clear itself.

I'd bet it's fine. I drove an N/A in the red for about 30 miles on the highway with little to no coolant circulaton and it seemed fine after. I also had an '83 that a tree fell on and cracked the radiator and killed the fan. I used to drive it in Boston traffic for a whole summer shutting it down near the red at stops and restarting it when the lights turned green and idiots finally moved. Ran fine when I junked it. I also ran that engine with less than a quart of oil, over 100 mph for good distance of a trip back from Vermont the year before.
