Hi John,
The latest mod on my car is a set of Radius R5
with 215/45 17" s Avon ZZ1 s. Whatch out for the rear
arches though as anything over 205 WILL rub without
moddification!
I want an electronic boost control but not sure on
what to get.
I get my one off turbo back(no cats) stainless exhaust
made and fitted soon,can't wait:-)))

I just got the Apexi AVC-R Electronic Boost Controller.
It's the best out there, hands down, and is reasonably priced as well.

Hi Dave
You know the new boost controller you have, how does that work and how has it changed how your car performs compared to your manual bleed valve?
So many questions so little time
cheers

It controls a boost solenoid mounted in the engine compartment. It
does everything electronically, instead of some primitive bleed valve
setup.
I no longer have boost creep and overboost like i had before. It's
very, very good at managing the wastegate.
It also eliminated 7-10 feet of vacuum line and the inaccuracy of a
mechanical boost gauge.
It monitors Boost in PSI, Throttle Posision, Injector Duty Cycle,
Solenoid Duty Cycly, Speed in KM/H and Throttle Position.
It has 3 settings for boost, A, B and Off. A and B have seperate
boost and solenoid duty settings that are easily switchable. Off
lets the wastegate open at it's "natural" limit, 6.5PSI on my car at
~4200ft.
I love it.

I'll second that about the wheels. The main problem is that Subaru has
a HUGE backspacing on their wheels 50+ mm. Most 15" wheels are 35-38,
some 17 & 18 have a little higher 40+ or something. I actually found a
Japanese racing wheel that had 42+ mm backspacing. Racing Gear 16" Type
M7 (I think that was the model) But even with that, I had a Matt @
evolution sports in Everett, WA, do a fender shave, VERY NICE job I
might add. There are unfortunately a few number of wheels that fit
properly on legacies & still look good as well as original looking.

If only I had the money and brains to install it
I shall add it to my Subaru wish list for Christmas, by the way how does affect your car compared to the bleed valve you had?
cheers

Here it is:
http://www.apexi-usa.com/superavcr2.htm
I would NOT recommend trying to install it yourself.

Finding the proper wiring diagram is nearly impossible, i had to rely
on the skill of the installer for some of the connections.
The ECU in my car is WAAAAAY up in the dash and hard to splice into
and keep proper.

Ifanyone is interested, call your Subie dealer & ask for the wiring manual
related to your year-when I requested one for my `92, a `90 manual was sent
& it applied to my car also; it could very easily apply thru `94 also. It`s
very thorough & should help; I used it initially to hook up my `torque chip`
& it worked out fine-ROD
