I just picked up a set of used AGX's with ~40k on them. One of the rears doesn't naturally expand when compressed regardless of setting. Does anyone, with experience with these, know if this mean its bad?
In my line of work (mechanic), I've only ever replaced shocks when they're leaking or they're bad enough for a customer to complain about the car 'cadillacing'.
Thanks for you input.
Blown AGX? Experience needed.

No extension means the gas charge has leaked out (the oil is probably next), the gas suppresses oil foaming and dampening fade. It may still ride ok but on rough roads or pushed hard it will loose wheel control. On the up side, AGX have a lifetime warranty, you should be able to send it in.

No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.

Does anyone have experience having one waranteed? Is there a better way to do it, i.e. exchange it my local parts store, send it in, etc.?
