Howdy!
I know this group is basically intended for the US spec Legacy, but
since I know some of us are driving the European version (stock
~200hp), I just wanted to ask how many...
So, how many of you guys have the 200hp version of the BF Legacy, and
where do you live (UK, Switzerland or maybe even Finland as myself!)?
cheers,
Miki

How many have the european BF -version?
Yo Penty!
your question wasn't regarding the new colour of MY car, but I'll
answer anyway... I thought of Ford Mondeo Yellow, but then I went for
VW Brilliant Gelb. Tomorrow I'll scan a couple of pics for you all to
see (no, no digital camera in our house), too bad the car was quite
dirty the day I shot the pics, but I'll post some "cleaner" pics of
it within a couple of weeks.
I'd also be interested to know how to order stuff from Australia so
that they're still cheap! Just as a comparison, I asked how much a
STi Gold Rabbit Emblem (to put on the front mask) would cost if
shipped to me from Cobbtuning in the US. The actual part was $23.50,
but postage would raise it to $64.70 when shipped to me in Finland,
Europe... the emblem is cool, but not that cool... BTW, does anyone
of you european guys know from where one could order that badge for a
reasonable price?
cheers,
Miki

How many have the european BF -version?
Assuming you refer to USD and if I recall correct, the part price is about
the same and is ex stock at a local New Zealand dealership. The postage
price sounds more like a courier service, as I can't imagine anything so
small costing more than USD5 from New Zealand to Finland... but then I
haven't snail-mailed anything internationally for a long time..

How many have the european BF -version?
There is a vehicle registry in the database section of this group.
http://www.egroups.com/database/BC-BFLegacyWorks
Why am I not listed in the registry? You can see from the member section
that I have a BG5B 97 Legacy GT-B, so I am bit of a misfit here! However the
BG shares the same chassis and floorpan with the BC-BF, and this group is
one of the more better ones and certainly more meaningful for me... so I
guess I can hang out here for while if no one objects.
I also note a FAQ has sprung up in the database section whilst I wasn't
looking... however some of the statements are not correct in context of the
BC-BF marketed outside of the USA. Seeing as the membership is "open" and
not USA-specific, I guess I could make for some discussion or controversy
with this... hehehehe.

How many have the european BF -version?
John,
if I dare to make a statement here (from a "non-US" point of view)...
You seem to know an awful lot about the GT/RS etc. turbo version BC-
BF Legacy, and your comments and opinions are more than welcome here
(although you're only drivin a damn goodlookin '97 GT-B with
twinturbo and just 280hp stock...)
cheers,
Miki

How many have the european BF -version?
Neat! I guess I get to stay!
Well... although I have never owned a BC-BF, I am quite involved in a local
Subaru car club so a lot of info rubs off.
Ha! Yeah the GTB goes well but they are damned difficult to hot-up and
generally more expensive to maintain... I have a lot of resepect for the
BC-BF, and in many ways they are far better proposition to hot-up and
maintain. In fact, an averagely warmed-up 220-250hp turbo BC-BF will deal to
a twin-turbo comprehensively up to about 100-120kmph

Assuming you refer to USD and if I recall correct, the part price is about
the same and is ex stock at a local New Zealand dealership. The postage
price sounds more like a courier service, as I can't imagine anything so
small costing more than USD5 from New Zealand to Finland... but then I
haven't snail-mailed anything internationally for a long time..
