I came after it yesterday after thinking that oit was a loose fuse an that I had it fixed and when I let off the fuel pump slowly started dieing until the car would not run... this is fuel pump number 4 and sending unti number 3... new WRX one went in today an tis not getting any power... I checked all fuses and i dont think its a broken wire????..... someone mentioned they figured it was my computer... Im looking for any input someone can give me ... when I hook my pump up direct befor the harness it goes like a bat outa hell... but without direct power I have nothing

Replace the wiring. Burnt is bad, means it was shorted out. Shorted out wires are what's causing your problem. Replace the bad wiring and add an extra ground for the fuel pump. The stock ground for the pump isn't big enough (which is why it shorted out in the first place).
It won't be bad to do. Just get some wire that's a bit bigger gauge than stock. I used some heavy duty insulated speaker wire.
EDIT: Here's some posts to help you out-

n2x4 has it right.
I think the fuel pump power harness connector is a bit under rated for the amount of current drawn by the pump. Add a few years of vibration and a bit of corrosion and the resistance at the connector increases. More resistance means more current. More current means more heat. That's why that connector is a common failure point.
It happened to me a few weeks ago. The car would not restart after a long drive. I was able to wiggle the connector and drive the car home, but the wires were really hot by the time I got there. I cut the heavy gauge power wire and put a splice bypassing the connector. Now it stays cool after a long drive. I think the repair will outlast the rest of the car.
