New List Boss

Post by Matt Scicchitano »

Guys, just thought I'd let you know that Dave from the Turbo-Centric
site is the new Boss of the BC-BF Legacy Works. He has been a devoted
Legacy fan for many years and provides alot of knowledge and
experience with both the NA and Turbo versions of the US spec
Legacys. Dave and I have passed e-mails with each other for a few
years now, so I'm confident he'll do a hell of a job and keep the
Legacy Works site interesting.

I am reluctantly selling my Legacy in hopes that a new 2002 WR Blue
5spd Impreza WRX Sport Wagon will find a way into my driveway. It's
not that I'm giving up on the Legacy, but I've waited an awfully long
time for the day when the WRX would be offered here in the states(
since 93), so I'm going to try my best to get one. I only hope that
if I do get one, it will offer as much fun and performance as I've
enjoyed so much with the Legacy.

I wish you guys the best of luck with everything. This has truly been
one of my favorite groups/sites on the internet. I've learned quite a
bit. I still will be checking in from time to time so don't bad-mouth
me too much :) Take care.

Regards,
Matt

Thanks for creating this net space for all of us.

Good luck with your WRX ownership... but take it easy for a while, I know of
more than one ex Legacy / new WRX owner that had trouble adjusting their
driving style to different handling characteristics of a WRX.. Just be
careful on corner exits... the traction bites a lot earlier than a Legacy
understeer slide.

Matt,

Thanks for all the good info and trouble shooting tips. Please check in
frequently. I am sure we will all continue to value your input even if
you don't own the Legacy.

Also I am sure we will all enjoy a review of the new WRX. We turbo
owners all need a direction for the next generation.

Carl

Matt I want to say thank you for getting this list started. It takes a fair amount of work and i appreciate it. I hope you are happy with the WRX, i think i'll hold out for a Legacy GT sedan with a WRX engine. perhaps in (03 or 04) ;~) I like the bigger car ride ( i'm getting old after all), please don't be a stranger here

Dave Thanks to you for taking over as the new boss.

New List Boss

Well, i'm the head guy in a list that pretty well manages itself!
You're all just about the most level-headed bunch i've been
associated with, so for that i thank you. You also know a lot, and
many a lot more than I.

I'm constantly learning from the list so it's been a worthwhile
venture.

Matt was one of the first guys to mail me when i started Legacy
Central. I was very, very envious of his car (still am) and was
pleased that he'd created the group. A bit of promotion here and
there and we've got one hell of a knowledgebase.

Here's to hoping it gets better! (and that the WRX intercooler fits
my Legacy!)
