HELP! Pulling harness ????
I am trying to get the last of my ej22t harness removed, but I cannot get to the last of it that is behind the a/c box, and I cannot get the a/c box to budge. Any tips/tricks?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thee are 3 parts to the HVAC system. From the left to the right they are the Heater/Damper box, the A/C evaporator and the blower.
You need to remove the Heater/Damper box. If you loosen the Middle part that contains the A/C evaporator, you can get just enough 'give' to remove the Damper box.
Pics inbound. My car is currently just in almost the same condition.

Here you can see all three parts.

The part with the 2 openings surrounded by foam is the one that needs to come out. It can come out once the part to the right is free and 'wiggling'.
The part to the right of it, with the electrical connector plugged into the front of it, need to be 'loosened'. If the A/C system is already discharged, go ahead an just remove it. If I remember it correctly, this is the piece that come out first. The tubes into the engine compartment can be undone with a big crescent wrench.
The last piece, the fan with the white label printed on it, can stay put.

Thanks... I have the middle part free and "wiggling" but for the live of me cannot get the heater box (farthest left with two openings with foam around them) to move. I removed tow nuts on top, and one on bottom towards passenger side.
Are there any more bolts I am missing? I cannot get it to budge at all.
Any further insight is appreciated because this has to be done by 1pm our time tomorrow, that is when the wrecker is showing up.

I see two bolts on the top, one on the bottom right. One cable and one electrical connector for the damper motor. 2 heater hoses need to be removed from the engine compartment.

The cable is on the bottom right. It goes to the slider on the HVAC control unit in the dash.

PhyrraM thanks for the help... getting the hoses off was a pain (hose clamps put on with the head pointing down at the tranny) was the biggest problem; in addition I also had to remove the ducting on the tranny hump for the rear passengers.
Popped the hoses off, the ducting, and the heater box slid right out. Thanks again.
