Can't use control any power windows except from driver seat

Post by Jutboy »

A while ago all my windows went up and down fine. Then my sunroof stopped working and my power windows would only work from my driver seat controls.

I DO NOT KNOW IF THESE HAPPENED AT THE SAME TIME - I just noticed them at the same time and these two problems could be completely unrelated.

Regardless, I'm gonna take out my sunroof tomorrow..to redo the seals so I want to fix the power window now.

What I tried so far, I switch the rear controller with to the front passanger controller (Before I realized they all didn't work), I tested for power on the 5 lines that go into the switch. When the toggle switch is resting the middle red shows 12V, when depressed up or down no Voltage is being passed.....get this...even the middle red one stops!!! I shorted the "lock" button on the driver control panel, no go. Then I tried using a another whole driver control panel...no go.

Any suggestions on what do?

Thanks a lot- Justin

I'd suggest checking your fuses.....also, if you don't have the power window wiring diagram, d/l the wiring diagram section from the 90 FSM
http://www.main.experiencetherave.com:8 ... agrams.zip

It should have the info you need to troubleshoot in there.

BTW, what year is your legacy?

Its a 91 SS.....I checked all the fuses with my tester.....thanks for the wiring diagram, I'll play around with it but I have a similar one and couldn't find where the bridge was that provided power to the other windows.
