Coilovers on their way

Post by Dave C »

I've been searching high and low for an affordable set of
coilovers that will do my car right, without breaking the bank or
overdoing it.

I think i've found what i've been looking for.

After taking to Chris at TRi Tuning, i've ordered a set of coilovers
from him, which should arrive the middle of next week some
time.

These are made by the manufacturers of TEIN, a well know
name in the coilover business, but are slightly more adjustable
and made from aluminum instead of steel.

I'm rather excited, as these should work just great for all 92-94
owners here, and possibly even 90-91. The price is very nice,
and Chris sounds very confident in the product and warranty they
have.

I'll let you know how they perform sometime next week when i put
them on.

Oh, and if someone is looking for a set of relatively new GR2's
and stock wagons springs, i'll probably have a set available
soon for a very reasonable price.

Coilovers on their way

The Pro setup are $1100, which includes the shocks and springs. The
top mounts will be the stockers in my case, until i recover and can
get the STi Group N or CUSCO hard mounts.

The Pro is the equivalent of the TEIN HA, with 24-positions of
adjustability. Height is of course adjustable.

The "Street" setup is about $900. They're not adjustable except for
height.

Compare this to ~$1400 for TEIN, $1700 for CUSCO and $1900 for DMS
Gold.

These will outperform any strut/spring combo out there.

Keep us posted on how you like them. I have the TEIN HR (Aluminum not steel)
setup and I really like them, I only paid about 1700 cdn for the set. If
yours are made by the same company, I am sure you will like them.
