Too Cold.
I've been noticing here that after driving on the freeway for any amount of time that my temp. gauge will drop down all the way to cold, but will eventually climb back up to half way. only to drop back down to cold shortly. I kno this cant be good for the motor to run this cold. Any chance that this might jus be a faulty gauge? BEcause my heater and vents still blow pretty warm air. IF not, should i try replacing the thermostat?

I would replace the gauge sensor first, then see if it works fine. Then if it doesn't try the thermostat. With my car I ended up changing my thermostat for no reason when it was just my gauge sensor.

If you do replace the t-stat, make sure to replace it with a subaru t-stat.
