Wrx gauges in our cars fit
Just a heads up for those of you who come across a set of wrx gauge packs for a good price. They fit right in our dash and look factory. They take the place of the compartment under the radio, although I moved my radio down to put the gauges on top. They are angled towards the driver and my set included boost, oil temp, and voltage. It's like they were made for our cars.
The part number I got was H5010FE040
The only thing that took any real time was the harness that comes with the gauges is for a wrx and it plugs inbetween the radio and the harness. I chose to cut the male plug off a harness in the pick and pull and got the female from a stereo shop and made my own adapter harness with those pieces and the harness that came with the gauges. I don't like cutting and splicing into the stock harness.
I know this would be alot more impressive if I could post a picture and that is something I will have to work on.

91 Black SS 5spd. Edm lights, wrx gauges in dash, 45 degree airbox, cryoed drilled and slotted brakes. Invidia divorced downpipe with custom stainless exhaust. To be installed, aluminum a-arms, manual belts, awic.
Thanks,
I really have to give credit to subychris94 as he is the one that had the gauges and put me onto them. He used to be a Subaru tech and still knows more than most the guys that work at the dealership. He said they would fit and was he ever right. I really can't say how good these look.

Yup, Pretty easy. The brackets that hold the gauges in the wrx are a perfect match hole wise to screw them in to the brackets that hold the radio in our cars. On the wrx they mounted on top of the dash.
I really didn't want to mount them under the radio and it was no problem moving the radio down.
I haven't hooked up the sensor for the oil temp gauge yet as it replaces the oil drain bolt.
My only quibble with the deal is the oil temp gauges reads in celsius which I know little about. Guess it's time to learn something new. There was a chart to show temperature comparisons with fahrenheit though so it won't be too bad.

Hehe, googled them, I love the note at the bottom: "Fits 2002 - 2004 Impreza WRX only"
Wow, a gauge pod actually exists for our cars that doesn't mount to the A-pillar ricer style and doesn't need to be fabbed into the dash. Time for a late christmas present to myself!

Just checked the price myself, I think I'll pass
For that much, they should at least offer the measurements in non-metric for us dinosaurs

I didn't pay anywhere close to what they want for the set from Subaru. If I would have had to pay retail I would more than likely have passed. I haven't measured the gauges, but they appear to be smaller than other gauges so I am not sure about replacing with one that reads in something that I understand.
I would check some salvage yards and maybe you could get a set that way. You would want to make sure and get the harnesses and the oil temp sensor and lead also. Just a thought.

You have to get some pictures up.
If you have a camera, take some pictures and email them to myself or someone else to put up.
If you email them to me, you'll have to do it before tomorrow as I'm leaving for a cruise for 5 days.
I'd definitely like to see them though.

The top picture is FUBAR'd when I try to open it for some reason. But the other one works.
That looks really good. If I had never been in a Legacy before and someone told me that was stock, I would have no problem believing them.
Again, great work Jefferson.

Looks very nice.
So the housing is just on a set of din rail mounts?
I wonder if you can just get the surround. The whole deal is like $550 from subarugenuineparts and I wouldn't be needing the boost gauge.

Cool stuff!
Judging by how they fill the single DIN space, I'd guess those are actually standard-size 2-1/16" gauges. Autometer Sport-Comp gauges might fit and would match the factory gauge lighting fairly well.
Or -- I can't quite make out the logo on the oil temperature and voltage gauges, but maybe that company manufactures gauges that you can buy separately.

I thought they were smaller than normal. I measured 1 3/4 across the bezel so I bet they are something proprietary with Subaru. The name on the gauges appears to be Lamco. The writing is pretty small and my eyes have more age on them than I like. I would need to take a magnifying glass out to make sure.
