I was installing a K&N pod filter today to replace my K&N panel, and
noticed a method that some of you might find useful in installing
these filters. (and saves a bit of money)
To attach the filter you usually need a metal plate that bolts onto
the origional airflow meter. Instead of paying $35 - $40 (Aus.) for
the plate, you can actually take the plate out of the origional box
by removing two pop-rivets then just mount the filter on this. The
other advantage is the plate is also polished, so it looks really
good too!!!

Pod Air Filters
Yeah, this is what I did with mine. I bought an adapter bought a pod filter
and made some brackets to support the stock intake arm, and it's all good
