KYB strut vendor suggestions????

Post by jdoogs14@hotmail.com »

I am looking to upgrade my current stock struts to the KYB GR2/AGX
struts. Un fortunatley I can put the AGX struts on all four corners
as I have a 2WD 1992 Legacy L. I am debating whether or not to put
the AGX's up front or just putting the GR2's on all four corners. Any
info anyone might have would be great especially if youu have done
the same to your Legacy. As well as comments on how well the new
struts worked any vendors that you are happy with as far as prices
and service would be great to hear about. Thanks for your help.

KYB strut vendor suggestions????

Post by Josh Colombo »

I have a FWD Legacy L sedan, and I've got the GR2's all the way around with
an 18 mm rear anti sway bar. That combo is a good combo to have. The GR2's
are very good struts. I have been exceptionally pleased with them,
especially when goin from worn stock struts to the GR2's. One note, do not
just get the AGX's for the front. I had a set of monroe struts on the front
put the GR2's on the rear, the car was very tail happy and the car's balance
was just out of whack. Get new struts all the way around. The only
difference between the AGX and GR2 is the AGX has adjustable damping. I do
have lower profile tires and larger wheels, which help with handling, but
even just doin the struts alone, especially if they're worn, you will notice
a big difference in handling.

I'm not too sure about vendors. I'm sure SPO Motorsports, Teagues Auto,
most likely cobb tuning all can get the KYB struts. I'm sure there are
more. I don't have web addy's for all those places. Hopefully someone else
does. If noone has them, shoot me an email, and I'll try and get them for
you.

Josh
