My experience with "Jet Engine" sounds has nearly always been a boost leak. The unbridled sound of a new turbo has an alarming shriek. Did you move your compressor bypass valve outlet? I think I once inadvertently created a giant whistle by repositioning my CBV outlet.
When I moved mt ac line on my 92 USA turbo sedan, I took the bolt out of the front of the dogbone firewall/engine locator link, loosened the AC nut on the firewall just a tiny bit and rotated the line down to under the dogbone. I tightened the AC line and reinstalled the dogbone with the AC line under it. I had two months of blissful driving before my clutch actuator arm hogged a hole through my AC line and I lost a million dollars worth of Freon and contributed to the depletion of the ozone layer. I then had the AC line spliced with about four inches of steel tubing, which fits neatly under the dogbone. The stock AC hose will fit, just don't be stupid like me.
