im having a little trouble figuring out how the hell to set up my legacy with manual conversion
the starter interlock relay part confuses me the most
where is the clutch switch also ?
can somebody explain to me in depth what i need to make change to get this working i dnt fully understand the write up even if somebody could make a basic wiring diagram of wat i need to do
before and after i also have access to a manual car for wiring loom parts

The starter interlock relay just doesn't allow the car to turn over unless the clutch pedal is fully depressed.
The clutch switch is on the clutch pedal itself. It's a little push button switch.
I'm assuming you've looked at this diagram?

I guess if you can provide some detail as to what part of the starter interlock relay that confuses you, we can try and explain it better.

oh ill have another look so wat i need to do is find the clutch switch as it was an auto under the dash somewhere and make up a relay with the 11 and 12 from the b15 AT fitting and then the green to activate it ? right
wat if i just connected the green and black together on the clutch switch
?
doesnt it seem a bit weird to have to start the car with the clutch in ?

after more investigation i have been looking all around under the dash i definetly cant find the clutch switch on this car and my other NA manual i have checked both clutch pedals for the switches and nil
i can not find the starter interlock on either is it possible they didnt have them? if so y is my car starter not kicking over?
i have followed all the other parts of the guide like the
trans id on the ecu
the cable cut on the b36 blue plug
i have wired my neutral and reverse switches from the new gearbox into the AT plug how the guy did in the pictures
and i shorted the 2 manual switch wires going to the auto stick into each other
it now shows N and manual on the dash at ON position and normal ON lights

Here's the clutch switch. You can see the cruise clutch switch as well.

If your car is stock, then it will have those things.
If you don't want to deal with the starter interlock relay & clutch switch, you can just jumper the two pins on the AT connector in the engine, and it should start up.
I'm not sure why the manual light is illuminated, but to get rid of the neutral, you need to cut the wire talk about it on my swap write- up
http://www.surrealmirage.com/subaru/swa ... ml#neutral
If you haven't removed the TCU do that, as well as the shift key lock controller.

i even cut the b36 at pin 18 i took a picture the nuetral light is still up

i marked around it with red u cnt see it very well but thats the wire you mean right ?
also you said short 1 or the 2 plugs going to shifter and i shorted the manual switch
the 11 and 12 on the AT pluf b15 when connected they show 0.5v when using a mutlimeter to ground

ok
i found the problem while shorting wires 11 and 12 the clip had slipped slightly and didnt have a good contact = no start with the new fitting its flicks right over
it appears that here in NZ the suburas of this type dnt have the clutch switch at all
ok while all this was happening it appears that i have lost my indicators for some odd reason lol
one problem after another more $ lol you gota love it
