I believe that this is in the owners manual of the car. But non the less, i
use 3 quarts of Castrol Syntec Blend 10w40 and 1 quart of 10w30. Don't ask
me why; i think its placebo. =)

For tranny oil, i use Valvoline non-synthetic 75w90. IMHO, since you have
160K on your car, you won't want to try a synthetic gear oil. Especially
mobil 1.
For brake fluid, use ATE Super Blue. REALLY good stuff! i can't remember
exactly, but i believe it has the highest boiling points dry and wet of any
non-silicon brake fluid.

Engine Oil and Trans Oil
Mark-I have 162k on mine & have had good luck with 10w-40 oil. I originally used a Valvoline semi-synthetic with good success but I`m now converting to all synthetic from Red Line oil. It`s pricey at first, but averages out $-wise in the long run. Do you have an auto or manual trans? Autos take Dexron II or an equivalent. Rear diff takes a 75w-90 but I don`t have the specs yet for the AWD unit. I`m talking to my Subie parts guy today so I`ll get that info for you.---ROD (AZ.)----- Original Message -----
