FIberglass parts.. Possiable Problems..need confermation.

OK.. i was at a gun shop in phily to day and i came across a black turbo legacy wagon.. so i properly parked right beside it and proceeded to just look at the strangers car..

so i did my buissness and came out of the store and started to compare parts from IT to mine..

Well the first thing is that my car is a 91 and this seemed to be a 92-93,, so upon closer inspection of the hood (my main focus for this letter) i noticed that the 92-93 hood has a Lip that extends below the light line in the middle of the hood.. and my 91 was almost flush all the way across..

So if make a fiberglass hood from a 91 turbo hood your gonna have a space of hmm 1/2'' between the grill and the hood.. thats if it even fits as far as hood release spots..

or if we make the hood out of an 92-93 hood us 91r's are gonna have a lip over hanging the grill a bit thats if it even lays on the car enought to close the hood securely..

I have a possiable solution to this..

When i finally get ready to take names for parts.. include the year of your car.. if i get 35 committed individualls and 26 of em have 94's then thats the hood i'm gonna have to buy..

a second solution to this is if i have at least 5 of more from each year interested we could just make specific Year modeled hoods. that would jump everyone price for each year group.. but not by much.. everyones price would be around 350 shipped..

instead of 35 people for one model and having to pay 175 shipped...am i makeing some sence...

ok well i leave you with that bit of info..

If ANY BODY has accsess to all four 91-94 models if they can make a compareison.. I KNOW there will be a big diferance between the 91-92 years.. but i'm sketchy about any major differances between 92-94..

Please send me any info..you my come across or worryies, etc..

Dave,
I know for sure that the lip for the 90-91 is different like you said,
compared to 92-94?96?. My dad sells Subarus and he has a few Legacys, I
will compare what years and hood styles he has and get back to you today.
