Keyless Entry

Post by Seine_Dudeheit »

Hi,
I have a question about the keyless entry system of my 92 Legacy:
Are the enter-key-by-pulling-doorhandle-system (no better way to describe it right now, it's 1 am over here :-D ) and the infrared-transmitter-in-key-system controlled by the same unit?
Because on my Legacy (which came with factory-installed keyless entry system) the door handle system works, but when I'm trying to open the doors by pressing the button on the key nothing happens. I've already replaced the battery in the key, so now I'd like to know if the key is the problem, or the two systems are completely independent and my infrared-keyless-system is broken!

I hope it's clear what I mean and there's someone who can tell me about this!
Thanks,
Peter

[Futurama-mode]Good news![/Futurama-mode] :-D

The keyless entry system works fine! I just had to take the key apart and clean it out, and now it all works!
