infrared keyless system

Post by firetire@hotmail.com »

Hello,

My car has this system but I don´t have the remote control(is a kind
of keypad), looks like other subarus use radiofrecuency remotes (only
2 or 4 buttons). In my car when you lift the door handle with it
locked, sounds a beep. Maybe some know where buy the keypad from a
3rd party, not subaru dealer.
If some one has the same problem, the doors can be opened using the
handle like remote control, this is: if your code to open the car is
3412, you must make 4 lift series at the handle representing each
number, any way it can be reprogrammed.

You sure it's infared? You need a direct line of sight for it to work. Most of the ones I've seen are RF or direct wiring for the type of setup you are talking about.

I am shure that is infrared, over the keyhole at the front doors,
there is a square sensor, thoses like in front of the TV´s and looks
like original equipment, I will try to take a picture.
