Will GC8 Short shifter fits to BC Legacy turbo (US spec)

Does anyone puts a GC Impreza's STi short shifter to the US 91-94
Legacy turbo, does it direct fits to our car or have to do some
modify to fits to our car?

I would say that it does I have a STI shifter on the '99 Legacy
transmission that is in my '95 Imprezza and everything fit perfectly.
I think that is one thing that they haven't changed. The small bracket
that holds the shifter might be different but that is a low price
dealer item.
