? on 1999 Outback Sport springs

Post by Dr. Gonzo »

I'm going to be putting new struts in (GR-2's probably) and I happen to have a set of 99' impreza OBS springslaying in my garage. Would the KYB's work with the impreza springs? If so, would these springs be an increase in the spring rates vs my stock 92 SS sedan springs? I assume the rears would be stiffer(being off a wagon) but what about the fronts? Would this jack up the rear end?
Thanks in advance.

I own a '99 OBS & can tell you the springs make it sit about .5" higher than normal Impreza wagons.

I can't tell you how a Legacy would sit with these springs on, but they should fit as many folks (myself included) have put RS springs on Legacys withthe Impreza front upper spring perches for about a 1" drop.

Thanks for the info! I'll add impreza upper perches to my list for the next junk yard run and hope I don't end up with my butt stickin' up too far in the air...
