Phase 1 ej25 rods vs ej257 STi rods

Post by smh0101 »

So... In my build... I was looking up stuff... The stroke of the ej25d (phase 1 dohc) is the same as the ej257 STi's...

So could I use STi rods in my ej22t stroker build??

The stroke is 3.110 inches on both... so shouldnt i be able to use them?

No, the EJ257 uses the same length rod as the EJ18, Ej20 and EJ22. It has pistons with the pin moved to match these rods.

EJ25d has the longer rods and pistons to match. If you have the Wisco 2.35 stroker pistons you need the EJ25d rods (or eqivalant)
