Legacy in Sweden

Post by Steve Morris »

Thanks for your reply. I better be good at English! I'm an American and teach business English.

The LegacyWorks webgroup is great. I appreciate you guys who try to answer just about everything. It looks like I'll have to wait until after the holidays and call some part suppliers in hope of finding an appropriate manual. In the worst case I can use one in Swedish although I'll need to learn some more technincal terms.

Another thing I'm curious about: why is the turning circle on the Turbo models 0.8 meters wider than the other models? I noticed the first time I did a u-turn that my new Sub is not as tight.

Keep up the good work. And Happy New Year!

Hello!-I wish my Swedish was as good as your English! Try contacting an Australian source such as MRT, www.turbofast.com.au, or www.autoweek.com. Their cars also came with the 2.0 as opposed to the 2.2 we received here in the states. I know there may be other owner`s manual sources around but the 2.0 was exclusive to the UK, Aust. & Japan. Good luck--ROD (AZ.-USA)

Subject: [BC-BFLegacyWorks] I need an English instruction manual for 92 Legacy Turbo, first sold in Italy

Greetings! I live in Sweden and just bought a 1992 Legacy Turbo
Station Wagon that was first sold in Italy. It came with an
instruction manual in Italian but I hate to use a dictionary to try
to translate. Where can I get a manual that is applicable to this
model? It has a 2.0 liter engine and is rated at 200 hp. It has the
same wheels that I have seen in US, UK and Australian brochures and
has sportier front seats than the last two Legacies I had before (90
and 94). The suspension also seems to be lower. Would the UK edition
of the Legacy Turbo apply to my car (except for the driver position
reversed)?

By the way, this car is the bomb! Snow has been falling constantly
for a week now here in Stockholm and even though Swedes are used to
it there are a lot of traffic problems because so much has come so
quickly. Even though, I'm looking for excuses to drive. Never before
have I ever volunteered to my wife to go shoppng at IKEA! I get a
woody just driving my car.

Any maintenance tips would also be greatly appreciated.
